TERMS OF SALE

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS OF SALE CAREFULLY BEFORE PLACING YOUR ORDER AND RETAIN A COPY OF THESE TERMS AND YOUR ORDER FOR FUTURE REFERENCE


1. Format of the Contract

These terms of sale apply to all items supplied by New Hong Sing via www.hongsing.co.uk. The website is governed by the following terms and conditions; they do not affect your statutory rights.

Any order placed by you for items advertised on our website is an offer by you to purchase the items selected in your order. No contract exists between you and us for the sale of any items until we have received your order and accepted it (which we may do at our discretion). We will send you an order acknowledgement shortly after you place your order, notifying you that we have received your order. This acknowledgement is not notification that we have accepted your order.

The contract is subject to your right of cancellation (see condition 6).

We have the right to terminate the contract if the price of the contract is not received from you in cleared funds.

New Hong Sing may change these terms of sale without notice to you in relation to future sales.

 

2. Description and price of the items

We have taken care to describe and show items as accurately as possible. Despite this, slight variations in items may occur. We provide you with product information on hongsing.co.uk. If there is anything which you do not understand, or if you wish to obtain further information, please contact us via This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Every effort is made to ensure that prices shown on hongsing.co.uk are accurate at the time of placing your order. If, by mistake, we have under priced an item we will contact you and offer you the following three options:

•    placing a new order at the correct price for those items;

•    cancelling the whole of your order; or

•    Cancelling your order for the mis-priced items and reconfirm your order for the correctly priced items.

The price of an item does not include the delivery charge, which will depend on the delivery method you choose.

2.1 Set Menu Dinners
Our set menu dinners comes as it is, if you require a dish to be removed please let us know. Or exchanging the dish to another dish, let us know. You are limited to exchange 2 (two) dishes on our set menus, additional charges apply. If for any reason there is a third dish to be exchanged, a fee of £2 per change is required. We reserves the right to add any remaining funds to your order at any time.

2.2 Menu
Our menu prices are updated every 1-2 year(s) we have the rights to amend the dish price at any time without any prior notice. If any dish ingredients has been replaced by another type we will notify you through our website/facebook/twitter/takeaway.  Rice or chips are not included unless mentioned on the menu.

2.3 Value Added Tax (VAT)
VAT is included in all dishes you see on the menu, at the rate of 20%.

We only accept cash and cheques for existing customers.

5. Order

5.1 Damaged and Missing Items

5.1.1Wrong Item(s)
If, by mistake we provide you with the incorrect item you must notify us. The item should be returned to us in line with our returns instructions.

Once we have received the items back at New Hong Sing we will confirm that it is in fact an incorrect item and either:

•    Replace with the correct dish

•    Refund in line with our refund policy

5.1.2 Extra Item(s)
If, by mistake we supply you with extra items you must notify us immediately.

5.1.3 Item not Required
If you wish to return and unwanted dish you must notify us by calling 01209213843.

You will be responsible for returning the item to New Hong Sing at your own cost.

5.1.4 Missing Item
If, by mistake we did not supply you with the item you requested you must notify us immediately.

5.2 Placing Your Order

5.2.1 It is advisable that you should say each of every dish clearly to our staff; it can be either the number of the dish or the dish name.

5.2.2 It is important to let us know if you would like us to remove the specific ingredient from your dish due to allergies or for any reason.

 

Any missing dishes you must notify us within 24 hours for us to rectify it. Anything beyond 24 hours there will be no refunds or replacements.

 

6. Your right of cancellation

You have the right to cancel your order with New Hong Sing by calling us on 01209213843.

 

7. Refund policy

If you are eligible for a refund, we will refund you back to the payment method you used when you originally paid for your order. Please note: It is your responsibility to notify us of any changes to your card details i.e. you no longer have that account. Delivery charges are non-refundable.

 

8. Data Protection

New Hong Sing will take all reasonable precautions to keep the details of your order and payment secure but unless New Hong Sing is negligent, we will not be liable for unauthorised access to information supplied by you.

 

9. Images

Product images are for illustrative purposes only and may differ from the actual product.

 

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms of sale and the supply of the items will be subject to English law and the English courts will have jurisdiction in respect of any dispute arising from the contract.

 

11. Protecting Your Security

To ensure that your credit, debit or charge card is not being used without your consent, we will validate name, address and other personal information supplied by you during the order process against appropriate third party databases.

By accepting these terms and conditions you consent to such checks being made. In performing these checks personal information provided by you may be disclosed to a registered Credit Reference Agency which may keep a record of that information. You can rest assured that this is done only to confirm your identity, that a credit check is not performed and that your credit rating will be unaffected. All information provided by you will be treated securely and strictly in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

During security checks we may ask for additional information or documentation to help support the data you supplied.

It is important to let us know if you are going to ask a taxi to pick up your order, so we can cook it on time; if not your order will be delayed.

Partnerships

New Hong Sing aka Hong Sing is a sole trader in Redruth (Cornwall, United Kingdom) do not have any relation to any takeaways/restaurants nor partnerships. We do not have additional outlets in the area.

Gift Vouchers

Purchase a gift voucher and give it to your friends/family as a gift. Gift vouchers are available to purchase at the counter.

Each customer is entitle to 1 discount/promotion/meal* voucher. Discount/Promotion/Meal* vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash. Additional freebies such as Prawn Crackers/Mini Veg Rolls cannot be redeemed with Discount Vouchers. Maximum value for a meal voucher is £4.50 and it is decided by our staff members. Do NOT attempt to recreate the vouchers in any other way. The management reserves the right to reject discount vouchers for any reason at any time.

Facebook Feedback/Review = Free Gifts

Once your feedback/review has been reviewed by our staff, you are eglible to have a freebie from us. We'll give you one of the options: 1) £1-£4 freebie 2) 10% discount 3) 5% discount 4) Large Containers. Freebies are decided by our staff members. *Minimum Order £10.

A delivery order must exceed £20 or more (excluding delivery charge) to obtain a freebie from us.

i.e. If you order £17 meal and delivery charge £5 you will not receive any freebie. You would need to have an extra £3 onto the order then it can allow us to give you freebies.

One Free Gift Per Customer

Free Gifts are given away at manager’s discretion and we reserve the right to refuse.

Freebies are decided by our staff management team. Freebie cannot be exchanged for another dish nor it cannot be trade it for cash.

You will not receive additional freebies such as prawn crackers, mini vegetable spring rolls etc. We have the rights to amend this section at any time without notice.
